Angelina Ballerina is pirouetting back on-stage with Simon and Schuster, and I couldn’t be happier! The Angelina classic books are returning in beautiful new editions, along with some more modern mouse tales, to captivate a whole new generation of little dancers and readers.

 

From the very first moment, I’ve loved writing about Angelina Ballerina. She’s such a strong character, full of dreams and outsized emotions children readily understand, and she isn’t afraid to make mistakes. Angelina may not always do a perfect arabesque, but when she trips and falls, she leaps right back up and dances on, and that sends a great message. Helen Craig’s beloved illustrations bring Angelina to life so vividly, even her tail is highly sensitive!
